Kaseya Center Rules

As the premier entertainment venue home to the Miami HEAT and host to concerts, shows, and events, understanding the rules and policies at the Kaseya Center ensures a safe, enjoyable experience for all.

Accessibility

Kaseya Center is committed to providing an inclusive environment for guests with disabilities, complying with ADA standards. Assistive listening devices are available free at Guest Experiences booths (Sections 103 or 322), with a valid ID required as a deposit. Accessible seating is offered in all price categories, including companion seats, and can be arranged by calling 786-777-1237. For parking, designated accessible spots are available near entrances; refer to the venue’s directions for specifics. All public restrooms are wheelchair-accessible, and family restrooms with baby changing stations are located at Sections 102, 115, 306, 322, 408, and 412.

Elevators are prioritized for disabled guests and premium ticket holders, with locations in various zones (e.g., Red Zone at Sections 104, 201, 306). Escalators are available for general use at Sections 101, 113, 240, 301, and 316. Complimentary wheelchair escorts can be requested at Guest Experiences or by emailing [email protected]. A dedicated Nursing/Wellness Room is provided for nursing parents, accessible via Section 103.

Sign language interpreters require a two-week advance request, and TDD telephones are available for the hearing impaired. First Aid stations at Section 110 are staffed by City of Miami Fire-Rescue, with AEDs strategically placed around the concourse. If you have specific needs, contact the venue early to ensure accommodations, making your event seamless and comfortable.

Animals & Service Dogs

To maintain a safe and hygienic environment, animals are generally not permitted inside Kaseya Center. The only exceptions are trained service animals that assist individuals with disabilities, as defined by the ADA. These animals must be under control at all times and are allowed in all public areas. Emotional support animals or pets do not qualify and will be denied entry. If bringing a service animal, inform security upon arrival for smooth entry. For any questions or special arrangements, contact Guest Experiences at 786-777-1237 in advance. This policy ensures the comfort of all guests while respecting necessary accommodations.

Age Requirements

Age policies at Kaseya Center vary by event but prioritize safety and appropriate access. For most events, including Miami HEAT games, children under two years old can enter free if seated on a parent or guardian’s lap, provided proof of age (like a birth certificate or passport) is presented. Guests two years and older must have a valid ticket. Events may have stricter rules, such as minimum age limits for concerts – always verify via the event’s ticketing page. Alcohol purchases are restricted to those 21 and older, requiring a government-issued ID, with a limit of two beverages per transaction. Sales typically end at the third quarter for HEAT games. Families should plan seating accordingly, and guardians are responsible for minors’ behavior. This policy promotes a family-friendly atmosphere while enforcing legal standards.

Bag Policy

Kaseya Center enforces a strict bag policy to expedite entry and enhance security. Bags larger than 10″ x 6″ x 2″ are prohibited, including backpacks, briefcases, and duffels. Small purses, fanny packs, or clear plastic bags within these dimensions are allowed but subject to screening. Medical or infant bags are permitted after x-ray inspection. For prohibited items, Binbox lockers are available for rent near Gate 7 or the Box Office – note that the venue does not store oversized bags on-site. To avoid delays, travel light or use off-site storage. Strollers can be checked at the South Plaza. This policy, common in arenas, reduces congestion and improves safety, so plan ahead for a hassle-free experience.

Entry and Security

Entry requires a valid ticket, with security screening for all guests and belongings. Doors open one hour before most events; arrive early to avoid lines. Re-entry is strictly prohibited – once you leave, you cannot return. Screenings include metal detectors and bag checks to prevent prohibited items. The Fan Code of Conduct mandates respectful behavior: no disruptive actions, foul language, or throwing objects. Violations can lead to ejection, ticket revocation, or legal action. Lost items should be reported to Guest Experiences; the venue isn’t liable for losses. For lost children, notify security immediately – they’ll be escorted to Section 103. This comprehensive security framework ensures a secure environment, with staff trained to handle emergencies efficiently.

Food, Drink & Alcohol

Outside food, beverages, coolers, bottles, or cans are not allowed to maintain hygiene and support on-site vendors. A variety of concessions offer Miami-inspired menus, including premium lounges like the Amerant North (featuring Grey Goose) with à la carte options – access requires specific tickets and incurs extra charges. Alcohol is available for those 21+ with ID, limited to two per purchase, with sales ending mid-event. A Designated Driver program rewards sober guests with perks during HEAT games. Water fountains are provided, but plan to purchase refreshments inside. This policy supports responsible consumption and enhances the venue’s vibrant dining scene.

Payment Options

Kaseya Center is cashless to streamline transactions. Accepted methods include debit/credit cards (Visa, AmEx, Discover, MasterCard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and NFC-enabled cards. Cash can be converted to prepaid debit cards at reverse ATMs near the Box Office or Sections 109, 121, 303, and 318 – no fees apply. This system speeds up purchases at concessions, merchandise, and parking. Bring a card or digital wallet to avoid inconvenience, aligning with modern venue trends for efficiency.

Photography and Recording

Photography rules depend on the event. For HEAT games, small cameras with lenses up to 6 inches are allowed; interchangeable lenses are limited to one. Concerts often prohibit cameras – check event details. Video/audio recording devices, tripods, monopods, and professional gear are banned. Selfie sticks and drones are prohibited. For commercial shoots, submit requests via 786-777-1464. This policy protects artists’ rights and prevents distractions, ensuring focus on the event.

Prohibited Items

A wide range of items are banned for safety: oversized bags, weapons, fireworks, laser pointers, outside food/drinks, noisemakers, signs/banners (unless approved), laptops, tablets over specified sizes, illegal substances, and more. Umbrellas must remain closed. Items may be added event-specifically. Prohibited goods must be discarded or stored off-site – no on-site check-in. This exhaustive list minimizes risks and ensures compliance with local laws.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is prohibited inside Kaseya Center and within 25 feet of entrances, per Miami regulations. Designated outdoor areas may be available, but re-entry isn’t allowed. This smoke-free policy promotes health and comfort for all attendees. Violators face ejection. Plan nicotine breaks accordingly before entering.
